This week I read 1984 by George Orwell. I liked the book very much. The songs that I believe make sense to go with the book are:
1. "The Imperial March" by John Williams (not J-Dubs) whenever Big Brother is mentioned. It could also be accompanied by a scream or a troll call.
2. " Down With the Sickness (the version without dirty words)" by Disturbed when Winston realizes writing in his diary doesn't relieve his anger and wants to yell naughty words. That song is very angry.
3. "Hello" by Lionel Richie when Winston sees Julia around and eventually she gives him a note saying "I Love You"
4. "Changes (the version without multiple cusses)" by Tupac Shakur when O'Brien brainwashes Winston into loving Big Brother.
After this week, I have read 33 books. I need 3 poetry books (:'( no me gusta los libros de poetry), 1 classic book, and 3 informational books. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee someone recommend a wonderful book to me.
Sincerely,
Tyler "Mr Van Daan" Azar

This week I read A Day No Pigs Would Die by Robert Newton Peck. I really didn't enjoy it all that much. I felt that the book was sort of boring.
This book is all about a young Shaker named Rob. He works on the family farm with his father, Haven Peck. He also attends class. He delivers a neighbor's cow's babies and saves one's life. For this, the neighbor gives him a pig that he grows to have an unusually strong bond with. What makes this book bearable is the fact that it's only 130 pages. The premise of this book is literally a boy loving his dad and pig. I just didn't like it.
If I was forced to meet one character from this book, I think I'd meet the pig. Not because the pig was cool, but because none of the other characters were interesting at all. Questions I would ask the pig would be:
1. Q: What was it like to win 1st prize at the fair?
A: It was very enjoyable. I liked the ribbon I won.
2. Q: Did you like your original owner or Rob better?
A: I loved Rob. That is, until....
3. Q: What were the other animals like?
A: There weren't very many other animals but they were nice
4. Q: Did it hurt to be beaten nearly to death but not completely dead so you could feel your best friend holding you down while his father sliced you into pieces? I'm assuming it sucked.
A: It was horrible. My best friend killed me. :(
After reading that dreadful book, I've read 32 books. I need 3 more poetry anthologies, 2 more classics, and 3 more informational books. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

This week I read A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket and What Would Joey Do? by Jack Gantos. I really enjoyed The Wide Window, but I didn't like What Would Joey Do?
In What Would Joey Do? the main character is Joey Pigza, a boy who has ADD. He is very realistic because he seems to act exactly like a boy with ADD. Jack Gantos obviously researched the tendencies of children with ADD. However, even though Joey is realistic, I really didn't enjoy the book. The entire story is about Joey trying to make friends with a blind girl to please his grandmother. All in all, it just wasn't a great book.
In The Wide Window, the three very unfortunate Baudelaire siblings go to stay with their Aunt Josephine, who is afraid of everything in her house. The Baudelaires are not very realistic because they are all mature and quick thinking than a 14 year old, 12 year old, and 1 year old could ever be in real life. Nonetheless, the book was really interesting and easy to read. I would recommend it to anyone, especially Nick Mical and Drake Dorian.
I would have to say my favorite book I've read so far is either Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury or The Giver by Lois Lowry. Both books kept me interested throughout and were thought provoking. Also, they were both page turners and easy to read. I would recommend either of them. So far, I have 31 books done. Also, I need poetry books, historical fiction books, classics, or informational books. Thanks guys ;)
